FEAST

FEAST - Food Education At Schools Today - is the Academy of Culinary Arts/Chefs Adopt a School's campaign to get food education on the curriculum from Nursery and Primary ages upwards.

Food and cooking are life skills with which each child should be equipped to progress and grow into a capable, informed and self-confident adult. Food education reaches across the curriculum from maths to languages to history.

FEAST has now reached a critical stage. We have completed 12 months of research into the true state of Food Education in primary schools and the results have been published in our report and executive summary. The campaign has been presented to Sir James Rose - Head of the primary curriculum review, Kevin Brennan MP of the DCSF and received the support of a huge number of teachers, parents and most importantly - children!

Meanwhile City University has been evaluating Chefs Adopt a School and the importance of food education in schools with very positive results.
